The listening AFFAIR
WHERE SOUND BECOMES PART OF SOMETHING LARGER
DINING • ART • SETTING
Beyond the sound bath
The Listening Affair by Madam Soul Pull brings the practice of listening into unexpected places.
Through collaborations with chefs, artists, galleries, hospitality spaces, and other creative partners, intimate experiences with Himalayan singing bowls becomes the beginning of something more.
A meal.
An exhibition.
A setting.
Sound invites us to slow down and pay attention.
What happens next is the experience.
Quiet changes
How we notice
LISTENING + DINING
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE LISTEN BEFORE WE TASTE?
Before the first course, guests are invited into an intimate listening experience with Himalayan singing bowls— a chance to slow down, arrive, and notice. By beginning with sound, we create a deliberate transition into the meal, inviting guests to bring that same quality of attention to what they are about to taste.
Then the bowls become quiet.
The practice continues at the table through taste, texture, aroma, presentation, conversation, and everything else waiting to be noticed.
You don’t stop listening when the sound ends.
BEYOND THE BOWL
the experience changes with the setting
CREATED TOGETHER
No two listening experiences need to look the same.
Each experience is developed in conversation with the chef, artist, venue, or creative partner--considering the setting, the people, and what we want guests to notice.
Sometimes sound begins the evening. Sometimes sound becomes part of something larger.
The intention isn’t to add another activity.
It’s to make the experience already happening feel more noticed.
LET’S MAKE SOMETHING WORTH NOTICING.
Chef. Artist. Gallery. Hotel. Cultural space. Creative Collaboration.
If you have an idea— or simply an interesting setting—
I’d love to hear about it.
